Learning a Modern Foreign language is like cracking a code.  Young ears and brains are more receptive to pick up the clues to do this.  As well as providing opportunities to build and nurture self-esteem, self-confidence and interpersonal skills, learning an MFL increase critical think skills.  It crease the density of grey matter in the brain.  Learning to speak and understand and MFL develops a child’s appreciation of other cultures so that they can take their place in a global society.
